I'd just like to take this time to personally thank all the posters who've made this possible, and who've helped make GWG such a huge success. I hope one day that we might be able to reach 2 million, another great milestone in our history, with the enthusiasm we've approached this first mil with, and that our productive community will continue to make the contributions that make us proud to have everyone.

You guys are awesome

In every other forum I've ever seen, yes. I've wondered how GWG manages not to.

Who was the 1 millionth poster?

"Lassy, tell him what he's won!"

I think the people here are what makes this site so much better than the others out there. With a (VERY) few exceptions, everyone i've ever had the pleasure of talking to from these forums has been very nice, helpful, informative, and an asset to the community as a whole. Keep it up!

And hey, lets shoot for 10mil posts

I'd love to see a graph of the number of posts over time, but since I'm far too lazy to do it and I don't think anyone else will, I probably won't. Oh well.

Soon we'll have more posts than GW accounts!

Ahhh I wasn't online when it happened.

If you look in my profile, you will see my sig has the release date for Guild Wars in it. You also might wonder how I got a sig. I got one because htey were enabled a while ago, before the game came out.

Just thought of the old days when Las said you can see your posts all the way from the beginning.

GWG ROCKS!

Long live GWG

GWG is better than all the rest. Nice quick loading times, nice clean look, lots of posters, great community. All the other sites are posers!!!

All right, just to answer some questions first. No, most forums do not purge old messages. They archive them yes, but purge? My staff and I do look back through posts for updates, past information, history etc. So purging would hurt rather then help.

Now on to the fun stuff:

Most Replied to Thread - The Off-Topic Thread Part Deux
Most Viewed Thread - Green Item Baseline Pricing
Most Popular Forum - Sell

Some other extra statistics-

Questions and Answers: 11.54% of all posts
Riverside Inn: 13.98% of all posts
Off-Topic and Absurd: 11.03% of all posts
Ventari's Sell->Sell Sub-forum: 19.21% of all posts
Ventari's Sell Overall:34.89%

About 1/3rd of all posts on the guru revolve buying, selling, and trading goods or services. Didn't realize our mercantile community was so large.

Wow...I would have thought the Off Topic forum would at least be higher than Q & A...

Is there some kind of statistic like 'Average Length of Post in (particular) Forum'?
That would be interesting...

Also, on another site I've visited (not related to Guild Wars) that uses the same forum program/whatever as this, they had a 'statistics thread', with results for how many times particular words/phrases had been used on the forum. I think they searched via Firefox. Is there any way Guild Wars Guru could do something similar?
