The advantage to having a high end farming guild is that you and your guildmates bond together and get much better at farming with each other.
Another advantage is this: say your guildmate found a victo's blade. He already has 3. You have none. You ask for it and he most likely would give it to you. Why?
1. You're doing high end farming (with the money you are making every run, giving away an item to your guildmate doesn't really count for much and it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside).
2. Hes your guildmate. If you have something that can help him would you give it to him? (well my answer is yes). And Vice Versa

Well. On the "active guild" rating, mine would rate to maybe a 6 out of 10 (10 being very active).
Basically, when we do get enough people online that are experienced in most aspects of GW, we they get together on what to do as a group. This usualy goes anywhere from GvG, HA, UW, FoW, SF, Missions, quests or any other activity that maybe a guildy needs help on. So once we all decide we end up doing anything under the GW sun.
So in a way i am satisifed with my guild as we do everything on that poll, yet at teh same time, i kinda wish we were at least an 8 on the scale...

lol. Actually, just got a very nifty invitation today to help create a farming/merchant guild. I'm going to see how it goes. It's not really open to recruit yet..However, If that special someone invites me to a guild I might join.

I agree about the pvp only guild. I love high end farming, however you most certainly don't need a guild for that. Experienced farmers (who don't do it solo) will have a friends list full of good contacts for farming, but most PvP requires a guild to do, especially at a high level.

reason why there is no pure PvP guild is because im taking down data for PvE not PvP. If you rather not join a PvE farming guild please choose the first option.

I'd consider joining a Farming Guild. Not having to wait so long for a group, as well as getting to know the people I'm farming with over time...seems like it'd be a plus.

I would personally go for the genric ones i dont see how farming all the time could be fun.

High-end farming would probably be the most entertaining. Would also be nice if the guild did some GvG every now and then for the fun of it too, but whatever. I've just about completely given up on GW until factions because there's nothing left to do except some solo farming in the hour or so I'm playing it per week now.

I dont want to join a farming guild, but i dont want to pick the first option because they do pve. I personally wouldnt join any guild that does pve but thats just because i hate pve, not saying its bad or anything, just not for me.

I chose the third option. It would be much easier to farm with a good guild. It would cut down the waiting time dramaticly and also you could be sure that the people you are with won't agro the entire map or anything like that. I ofcourse like to do some pvp once in awhile but if I was looking for a guild I would consider a hardcore farming guild.

It is NOT the case that we're all so rich we give things away.
Of course, a lot of the growth was recent recruitment.
In fact, I dropped out of my last guild in part because one couldn't sell stuff within the guild.

It'd depend. I joined my current guild coz they're good guys, though I rarely group with them. If a farming guild had cool people in who were friendly, yeah, I'd join, even if i spent all my time pveing without them or trying out some pvp.

PvE isn't farming, though. Hell, farming isn't even playing the game, it's just self-imposed grinding because you like grinding. The option "PvE not farming" is missing in the poll.

why do you consider a Guild that does PvE only a farming guild? I like to play the game... I don't necessarily do it for "FARMING" I do it for the shear enjoyment of playing with friends... But typically we play a lot in the underworld and fissure. Our current goal of completing every quest in UW and Fissure is still to be achieved. Spawning pools are a Real challenge, as are the bone pits. But everyone be honest now. How many do you think actually go down to underworld with intention of completing EVERY quest down there??? Not many... Those are the kinds of Guilds I would be interested in IF(and that's a BIG IF) I was to disband mine and Disband the allied guilds ours is associated with...
