Ok I did not think that the last update did much to change the Ele class but I was wrong cause they seemed to have nerfed my build un-intentionally through the exaustion nerf.

Ok my bread and butter for this build is Obsidian flame and eruption which if casted early enough tends to have some devastating effects.

I usually nail 2-3 kills in an RA match and
No big deal because if I had already killed two or three enemies I was running rather low on mana and I could be ressurected with some added mana and be able to cast obsidian flame and eruption several times again.

So in alot of ways I looked forward to being the first one to die after I had unloaded most of my damage since I would have free mana from the rez.

My mana bar would be partially exausted but I could still cast eruption and obsidian flame because I had the mana even though it was lagging due to exaustion.

After the patch I cannot cast eruption even though I could before the patch because apparently they nerfed it so that if you are given the mana from a res but lagging in recharge from exaustion you cannot cast a spell until the exaustion lag has caught up to your current maximum mana even if you had it.

I could be wrong in this and the build is still pretty effective in it's niche but I sensed that the exaustion change was a little deeper than the description they provided.

Hopefully the Factions changes will be a positive change that allows many Elementals to forge their Elemental builds into forces to be reckoned with on the battlefied instead of weak place fillers.

I'm wondering how you killed 2 - 3 people with obsidian flame and eruption.

When an entire RA team is made up of half-assed softy builds and unskilled players I tend to whip them into shape quite quickly once the damage spicket opens up.

This sort of thing does not happen all the time in RA but Earth Spike damage is mostly underestimated and tends to have a solid impact on many warrior heavy or softy heavy teams.

If you were on a pre-designed team your allies would know that any enemy team with an Iron Misted or 90% slowed for 17 seconds warrior means 1 enemy warrior is out of the picture for much and potentially ALL of the round

17 seconds of slowed 90% means that for ideally and on average the main enemy warrior is out for 51-34 seconds throughout a match. Until your team can afford to focus enough damage to eliminate him.

Hex removal is uncommon at best in RA so this skill sees plenty of good action in RA and even in GvG I tend to knock out overpowered and overconfident warriors.

The reasoning being that if he cannot hit you or your teamates he is useless and the fight becomes about your team of 4 against 3 enemies with damage focus on one or maybe 2 enemies effectively providing your team a large lead in dps early on or throughout the match.

So long as your team knows not to bother with this warrior you odds are often in RA 4 vs 3 provided you used this Iron Mist spell as needed on main or secondary warriors who you deem to be the worst threat.



If you get an eruption off on 4 caster softy noobs and obsidian them as necessary you get 4 dead softies with almost no help but crowd control from your teamates.

I do RA alot, and if I remove your enchantments, you're screwed with that build. It needs a back up plan.

Only good attack there is obsidian flame which has a 5 second recharge anyway. SQ not really necessary then...
