Search Button. There are many good builds on GWG. Those that arn't so good are usualy corrected so there really isn't a bad build here

Right so by the same token you should never use distortion or whirling defence or dryders defences or lightening reflexes or dodge or bonetties or .... I'll just kite all day and not do a thing for my team except be a drain on my monk when I get snared. I'll take a 45% chance to block any incoming attack any day.
EDIT: So this actually has some merit to the op
RoF Guardian Mend Ail PS Boon Veil CoP OoB takes a bit of getting used to now with the skill changes but still just as effective.
or try out a bonder build

This build is the basic build I use for everything, and it has never failed me so far.
16 Protection Prayers

Reversal of Fortune
Shielding Hands
Shield of Regeneration
Guardian
Mend Condition
Aegis
Divine Spirit
Rebirth
Kepkhet's Staff, Yakslapper or any protection staff with a +20% enchant mod
I've rarely ever had to change this despite the lack of a hex killer, as it simply is enough to get you through pretty much anything PvE has to throw at you. Start out with Aegis, of course, and as soon as you spot the tank taking the damage, throw Shielding Hands and Guardian on him. Follow up with a second Guardian, and you've left him topped out for a good 15 seconds without help from the healer. After that, you just tend to whoever needs you by keeping Aegis up as much as possible and Guardian/RoF spamming. SoR for when it gets bad, as tacking on another 40 AL and a +9 regen for 14-17 seconds will save pretty much anyone. Tack on Divine Spirit when you get down to about 10-15 energy, and you'll almost never run critically low. This build is a no-brainer that'll never require you to time anything perfectly, meaning that you avoid the whole all hell breaking loose scenario if you miss a spell or get attacked. I've gone through Hell's countless times without team deaths as the only monk in the group while playing this build. It really does work beautifully.
