bring only sac skills: ex. dark pact, defile flesh, enfeebling blood, blood of the master w/e pleases you. dont bring any other skills besides those self-saccing skills. go right up next to him and just attack him with a weapon. she should end up saccing himself to death

Not sure if they changed his behavior with the update, but I beat him as a N\ME last night. The first time I took the sacc approach. He used one Sac spell, then pulled out a bow and drilled me for 185 damage on the first shot.
Ouch. Not sure about about /W Thorath as I just dumped Blacklash and Empathy on him. He still kills himself, just takes a little longer. The less skills you have on your bar, the more likely he it to beat on you with that Chaos Axe.

Insidious Parasite (don't attack him, let him attack you) + Defile Flesh (he'll sacrifice 20% HP for it, and not get any benefit from it).
I did it as N/Me with those + Empathy. You could probably do it just with those two, though.

Either let him sac himself, or bring frenzy, dont use it and beat him down. A decent power skill vs frenzy = you win.
