Cities of Ascalon

One is inside of Ascalon City, one is in the Explorible Area just outside of Nolani Acadamy (the Diessa Lowlands to be exact), and the last is inside of the Ruins of Surmia mission. That last one is annoying since you pretty much have to run through most of that mission just to get to the monument. Unless they've changed something, there is not a monument in Ascalon City, at least not one of the monuments required for this quest. There is something like looks just like these monuments next to the fountain and Tydus, but it doesn't do anything. The one you might be referring to is King's Watch (since you described the others correctly). King's Watch is in the Regent Valley, and the monument is very near to the endpoints for two other quests: Red-Cloaked Deserter (from Piken Square) and Regent Valley Defense (from just outside Fort Ranik).
