As many of you know, I've been having the random reboot problem since day one of Guild Wars. I'd tried everything to the point where I'd exhausted all my options and Tech support gave up on me, telling me to seek help elsewhere.

Well, my last ditch effort completely fixed my problem, as I've now had two four hour play sessions without any reboots or crashes.

While I was up at school, there wasn't an available port on my router for my computer, so I was forced to use a wireless connection. I was using a Netgear USB2 G adapter (as I don't have any available PCI slots). Now that I'm home from school, I'm using the on-board LAN. I recall reading on these forums that someone else who had the crash problem was also using a Netgear adapter.

As it turns out, the adapter was causing my computer to reboot randomly during gameplay... but ONLY during Guild Wars. Now that I'm back on a cable, everything runs perfectly for me.

I know this will only help a small number of people, but who out there is using a wireless connection to play GW?

I dont know if this will help for future users, but I use a Linksys USB WNIC and guild wars works fine. Maybe it is specific to the Netgear unit?

From a long number of posts on these forums, Netgear seems to be either the popular router, or the one that is causing problems.

Feel free to try a serach for Netgear, a lot of posts will turn it up.

I've added help links to the forum index (sticked above in the Tech forums) for people who need help with it.
