I did use the search button it didnt work. I used the FAQ thread it help a little. But if you are a sword person then wouldnt the best armor be...

Gladiators legs and chest
the helm u want for what ever skill +1
knight boots
and gladiator gauntlets

I know that is also a matter of opionion but...
also can swords knock down?

I AM A NEEBIE BTW!!!!

You've got a pretty nice combo there, and it should work well for Swords and Axes (for Hammers you might want Stonefist etc.). You've maximized Glad's to get as much energy as possible, and the Knights (or Ascalon) boots should give you the absorption. And of course, use the best helm that the situation demands.

An alternative I have seen many people employ is to use an Ascalon/Knight helm instead of Ascalon boots, primarily because Knights/Ascalon boots look extremely ugly, especially with Glad's armor.

I favour the Lieutenant's helm myself, yes it's got a lower AL than the rest of my kit but I like the reduced effect of Hex's that it brings.

Thank you for confirming my thoughts. I know the boots look bad but i need the helm space for my skill +1 where ever i need it.

It used to be very useful earlier with its 50% reduction before the March 3 nerf. Now at 20% it has lost almost all of its charm.
