after looking on guild wiki i saw that the one ofthe best mixes for gold dye was -(yellow+silver)=(orange +silver)-so i decided to try it out as it said it was a lot better than just yellow+orange of which i was using at the time so i mixed it all up and aplied it to my 15k enchanters ( dont know about other armours ) and it was f****g b*****ks it turned out a dull yellowy silver without the shine they said it would have so that just a warning to some of you
save your money and just put on yellow + orange it is much better

Ok another word. Gold Dye doesn't look gold if you put it on non metallic armor. I found this out the hard way. Do not try it on tattoos. Do not try it on the softer armor types of any character besides Warriors. It will not turn out nicely. Basically the gold dye only really functions on warrior armor types where the dyed surfaces are metallic in texture. It has less to do with the dye being wrong as it does with the way the textures in the game are set up.

depending on the armor base color sometines the exact OPPOSITE gives the desired color.
it was noted here some time ago but search is down

^Yup, I put black dye on my Chaos Axe, it turned pure white! :]
Murder In China
Armors dye differently.

Chaos axes dye completely differently. Mix two greens and put it on a chaos axe and you get purple. There is a chart available somewhere on the net, might even be on this site but search is in fact down, that shows the dye mixes and how they will affect chaos axes. I've determined that eternal shields don't dye worth a damn.

yep as already said, different armour looks different. My Druids with silver on would look different to my Drakescale with silver on, and completely different to a warriors platemail with silver. Tattoos with silver could turn any colour Check out the dye thread in the Community Works if you want to dye something and it involves expensive dyes, but still proceed with caution, because seriously, unless you see someone in the exact armour you have with the exact colour you want, you can't' be sure it will dye your colour.

Red + Blue + Green brings on a fairly nice medium pink on FoW (which dyes similar to enchanter).
