After you registered a guild, you need to travel to Lion's Arch and sail to Tomb of the Primeval Kings. You can use ALT to highlight the sailor, you can't miss him .

Or, you can just buy the sigil from someone else

I don't think most beginners would be able to win HoH to get a sigil from tombs.. unless they've had plenty of PvP experience in other games that would transfer over to GW (DAoC comes to mind).

To start a guild you need to talk to a Guild Registrar. They are found all over the place - the first one is in the Kindom of Ascalon (first city). You need to give a Celestial Cigil to him to start your guild. You can either buy this for a bit of money (should be easy if you can pool your members together), or you can win it by winning the final round of the Tombs - the Hall of Heroes. If you're a beginner or just not awesome (it's hard!) then it'd be in your best interest to not waist your time and just buy it. There are several Guild Halls for you to choose from: Warrior's, Hunter's, Druid's, Magician's, Frozen, and the Dead one. They all have their tactical advantages and disadvantages.

there are no advantagescuse every one has onebut now they have diffrent guild halls so you have dif advantages, like a warrior hall has advantages against warriors because there are high briges over the entrance for casters and archers to shoot down on them and stuff like that. but other than that no advantages, and if your new to the game just look thru all the forums here theres alot of useful information

ya, umm i started a guild (Jivemonkeys) and i payed 100 to the guild registrar in Ascalon. All i got was the name and the tag, he didnt say anyhting about a guild hall. I was too poor to buy a cape (1000), so must you buy the cape to get the Guild hall? Also, how do you find your guild hall?

if you have one you should just go to your map and look for the dot on it for your guildhall, i dont know if its the same color for everyones but mine is green. also im pretty sure you have to have a GH or else there would be no way to do a GB, well i might be wrong and correct me if you can

Press "m"

You can always press "p" for a smaller version of the big map.

I'm a bit confused now.......
Are there TWO sigils (one for creating a guild and one for the Guild Hall) ? My guild was created last BWE, we had some capes (stupid color btw) but I didn't see a green spot on my Map. (maybe cause I'm old and blind and senile, who knows)

@Aria:
Can I compare the Tombs to the old version of GuildWar in CO? The one before the castle I mean....

No, once you form a guild all you have is, well, a guild. You have to pay the 1000g for a cape and also you have to make it through the missions to get to lion's arch where you can purchase a sigil for the guild hall. Then once you have your guild hall, there will be a green marker on the map which you can travel to at ANY time.

Lion's Arch is just another destination city you get to after a mission. I'm not sure if you get there right away after a mission(I think so) or if it's right after a short journey trip after a mission, but either way, you have to get to a certain point in the game before you can get to Lion's Arch.

edit: I know you don't need a sigil to start a guild, but you DO need a sigil to get a guild hall; they can only be purchased at Lion's Arch.

You can purchase a celestial sigil from the Sigil Trader next to the Guild Registrar in Lion's Arch.

However, she's often sold out, so you might have to trade for one.

HoH is the Hall of Heroes. It's the last round of Tombs.. and if you win that round, you basically fight off new challengers.

As for getting to LA, it depends on how well your team works together, and what route you use. Some people take the challenge of going through the explorable areas instead of the missions.

If you would be so kind.... starting from mission one..... what missions must be completed to get to LA without exploreing.....?

From what I understand (I've gathered this from places around the forums)...

It's 100 gold to register your guild (get your forums and reserve the tag and name).
It's 1,000 gold to get the cape.
From there, you can hold out at the Hall of Heroes and get a Celestial Sigil... or you can purchase one for 1,815* gold at the Sigil Trader. With this Sigil you can purchase a Guild Hall.

* Note, I am unsure of the price, this is what I was told elsewhere in the forums.

You can find more about my question (asked a few days ago) here.

If you are forming a new guild, it is probably easier to gather your friends, farm the gold a little bit, and just buy the celestial sigil from the trader. Don't count on reaching the HoH on a totally random pickup group (pug). If you are lucky, a guild may be missing a member and may invite you in its group but then you only have a small chance of getting the sigil when it drops anyway (the sigil only drops for one person in the group).

You don't need the Celestial Sigil to make a new guild.

Right. But most guilds would want to have a guild hall to do GvG, no? Otherwise you would only use the guild as a group chat.

price of the sigil varies based on supply and demand. last bwe i heard it started around 2k and dropped below 100g by the end of weekend.

Did you mean you hold the Hall of Heroes for 7 rounds, or were you winning 7 games while progressing to the Hall of Heroes? HoH is the last map of the tomb where the defending team spawns in front of the dais while the other challengers got paired first and then gain access to the dais after they defeated the enemy. The last team to hold the dais by the end of the time limit (10 minutes I think) wins the map.

HoH normally has 5 teams (possibly more, not sure about this). Let's call the defending team A. Team A holds the dais on the middle of the map and wait. Team B and C get paired on one side of the map, while D & E on the other side. Each side is initially disconnected from the middle. Once there is a victor on a side, a bridge materializes and lets that team to meet team A. So if B and D win on their respective sides, both of them will meet team A in the middle. Team A being in the middle automatically gets sandwitched between B and D.

The sigil only drops for one random member of the team.
