Nice post ... great idea.

So far I've only watched the first video:

The voice IS annoying but it didn't seem like GvG at all to me. I was expecting actual "footage" of two guilds fighting a match but instead it was just a trailer (which is what you labeled it as). The armor is waaaay outdated too. Kinda funny.

You can add this video to humor. It's the gwen going pyro on the necro dance troop.

Now that I look at it, your right. I'll edit my comments. Oh and instead of "Guild Battles" up there I have "Guilds/PvP Videos". So the viewer will know its about guilds and guilds fighting.

As you can see it's "2003" trailer, so of course the armor will look kinda funny.

The reason I think no one has come up with this is because very few movies are actually out,(especially player-made) but I think more will come post release.

Edit: Thanks for the video, I added it and two others which I found on IGN.

You can all add to the splender by searching for more trailers and videos.

This doesn't mean you have to 'find' videos you can also 'make' them. I'm looking for a good video on Guild Battles.

I'm downloading it now, once it's done I'll check it and see if I can figure out why. I might also suggest that you try a different player, I've had difficulties playing things in Windows Media Player that I had no trouble playing in other players. I'd suggest Media Player Classic, which you can get at this link:

Great job Kiwi.

I have one suggestion.. Since I usually recognize the video by the maker, could you also put their names in the title or description?

It's much easier to differentiate the movies this way, I think, since most Guild Wars videos all have the title "GW Video" or "Guild Wars Dance Video," etc. It also gives the creators some publicity.

Thank you.

In fair amount of videos, it doesn't say who made them.

Actually I make the names based on what it's about and/or who made it.

Yey, I think it's working. Thanks all for the help.

Well back on topic, anyone have some suggestions and/or trailers and movies?

And another thing, guildwars.com has some screenclips, think I should add them?

I'm not sure I understand. The link I provided takes you to a page with all the different versions of the program. Pick the latest version. If you have Windows 2000 or XP, click the one that has 2kxp in the name, if you have Windows 98 or ME, click the one that has 98me in the name. Once you click the link it should take you to a mirror list page, pick the location closest to you and click the download link and it should start downloading. Glad to hear you got it working though.

Tis all right, I got it working. We are going back on topic now.

Edit: I added "Guild Wars Too Sexy" and now I'm checking out a plethora of new videos on GameSpy. I found a GvG video, but it's only 30 seconds long.

Oh, good question. PvE stands for 'Player Vs. Enemy' it's a term for solo fighting.

Edit: Does anyone know if it's possible to get something like this stickied?

Player Vs. Environment. Mainly, anytime you are fighting a computer controlled creature instead of one controlled by a human being (PvP or Player Vs. Player).

Once upon a time..

I had one titled "A Monk's Life" that I found amusing. It's also on my school computer, and I'm on the opposite side of the country.. so I can neither provide you with the actual file, nor the name of the maker. >.<

A suggestion though.. could it be possible for you to list the names of the film makers next to the film links and/or within the descriptions? Part of the reason is that I tend to remember movies by the person who made it, especially since it seems as if more than half of the GW videos out there have no title. So, instead of saying "that long, intense pvp video with that great slow motion in the end," often people simply say kunt0r's video. It's a bit easier to reference.

Of course, this suggestion also has a great deal with giving those makers some additional advertising/publicity -- it's nice to see one's name attached to one's work. (And to some of you who are wondering, no, not all videos have credits brandishing the maker's name in the end, and even if they did, it's still rather polite to name them )

Thank you for the library, Kiwi.

Hehe, another problem. I don't exactly know who makes them. A lot of websites I find them on, don't usually make them. They are submitted. With no name.

But the E3 trailers are made by AN, of course.
