so i get to level 9 and I have paid a minimal amount for somone to run me past northern wall to piken square.
my question is what am i supposed to do for XP?. Im haveing an Extremly hard time killing charr withought any henchmen. as a matter of fact i cannot kill more than two at once withought dieing, thats with my pet out. (I have the bow of charrslaying and all 40 rank armor)... any tips?

Go back and actually do the missions. You will get exp from killing the mobs and from completing the mission.

You've answered the question yourself. GW isn't a solo game. Whilst it is definitely possible to solo charr at your level, it is difficult for an inexperienced player. You would be far better either teaming up with other real players, or taking henchmen.
Perhaps you think that exp is slow with henchmen, but the reality is you can kill much faster, and don't keep dying. In the long run you will level faster. GW isn't a game that can be completed in a day, especially not on your first run through. Take your time and enjoy it
And I strongly recommend you do not use runners on your first play through the game. It's far better to play it through under your own steam, leave runners until your get to your second, third or perhaps even fourth character
