I love the dune lizard as my pet for my Necro/Ranger(Lord Darkon). His name is Chub Chub. You tend to get a lot of "Whoa, dude, where did you get that gator?" LOL

I got the Black Widow on my W/R as well, they heaps cool pets, tho i would love to have Armored Cave Spider insted, they are MASSIVE!!!

Path to Spider in The Underworld.
Go to temple of ages for this bonus area.
Kneel at the stature of grenth to get him to appear and talk to him. It will require a donation of 1000 gold to go to the underworld bonus mission.
Clear the chamber in the underworld First BEFORE talking to anyone and getting a quest...
Then go back and talk to the spirit with the ! over their head near the beginning and clear the area again.
Near the end of the Quest there is a Statue of Grenth. Do not take anything yet from him.
Clear the way down the passage and on into the village First.
All the way to the next Statue.
Walk back and take the "Restore the Monuments of Grenth" quest.
Walk back to the village and clear out the area again.
Walk to the 2nd statue and take the "Wrathful Spirits" Quest and fight them in the area. Keeping the mayor and a few Tortured Spirits alive (well There at least).
Go back to 2nd statue and accept reward.
Behind the statue is the spider. Charm him.
Congratulations you now have a lev 20 Elder black widow spider pet for your Ranger.
There are Many quests in the underworld to do. All of them very rewarding. But they take Good team work, AND lots of time. Last time we were down there I think we lost favor and regained it twice before we left. we did a good bit. I know a effort is going for mapping this area, and it is hard as well to do. But a listing of all the quests down there I dont think has happened yet... I'll keep an eye out for it... But I have started a list and will be updating my post on the Quest DB webpage.

Yep I have a spider pet as well...named it Peter Parker...get it? I don't notice any poison dmg though. That's a big oversight and should be fixed in an update (all Ranger's send AN a msg). You get the pet in the UW by taking the monuments quest and clearing a monument. Then it pops out and you can tame it...MM

i actually did do this..even after the bear nerf.
I got really really lucky, because i was about 4 seconds into the charm animal skill, then the bear used brutal mauling! (go me!) so right when it was about to end, the warrior i was with KDed it and that extra second saved me!!!!
