Hell's Precipice (spoilers)

Right I'm a ranger/mes, I did the bonus and got the elite caps with henchies, but when rurik turned up I died (I didnt notice the sparks untill it was too late...

So whats the tactic for that bit?

Run away? Or run in for the sparks?

Also what skills do you think i should use?

(the 2 emptys were cap sigs I needed to get the elites on this mission)

i would fill the gaps with troll and a w/defence then for tactics use a longbow to lure the hands/fists out disspose of both groups whithout aggro on prince and sparks then go straight for the sparks and leave prince for last.

Ignite Arrows do not turn your arrows to full fire damage. What you want to use is Kindle Arrows.

Take a look at going R/E with Conjure flame. Dual shot, or even better, barrage combined will make for short work.

The best thing to do with Rurik in my experience is to pull a bit. When you first come out of the cut, the link of hands and fist will be there and swarm you. You can usually survive that as some of them will go ahead and fall back. From that point just do some pulling.

If you get the sparks going, of course get the first. Use the hill you spawn to to your advantage as you get better range and a dmg bonus.

Slow down rurik with some pin down or crippling type skills.

Turn yourself into a support player and bring Winter and Greater Conflagration...those two work wonders around there.

And like always...pull, pull, pull

Sorry about the partially off-topic in related to your question but imo Hell is too easy like vs. the other known hard missions. I was pretty dissapointed - "thats it??" . It didn't spark the "OH YEAH" feeling after completing, rather the opposite but at least it's done, time for alt
