Have any of you gotten the "inventory full!" messege when selecting a weapon from the weapon sets?

My char is a Ranger. Like most of you guys I keep different type/stats bows that I select during fights. During a few missions this weekend, whenever my inventory was full and I tried switching bows I got the messege,

"inventory full!"

It would not let me switch to that weapon till I either, dropped, trashed, or salvaged an item and freed up one slot in my inventory.

Anyone experienced this?

If you have a 2 handed weapon equiped, you still can hold one item for the sub.

Say you have a two handed weapon, a "sub weapon" in the X out slot and your inventory is full, if you try to switch where it tries to move *both* items to the full inventory, I can see that.

If you switching to another 2 handed weapon, put the focus / shield in the sub slot for the weapon your switching to as well (unless its an -xx hp item, which I can see why you don't want).

What tempest said is correct. I often use the "offhand" as an extra little storage space for something that can be equipped there, just in case I run out of room/salvage kits ... then when switching to a weapon set that doesn't have a setup like this: there you go, no inventory space

I just checked and I do have a shield there from a R/w build I was trying just before helping my guldie do his mission.

So is this what caused it? Having a 2 handed weapon with the shield in sub and trying to switch? Ill have to play with it when I get home.

yes, think about it ... lets say (for sake of argument) that you have 20 places to hold things in your bag, and obviously two slots in your hands (primary and offhand)

If those 20 bag slots are full, and you switch weapon sets, it puts the new bow (or whatever) in your hand, and tries to put the shield in your offhand back in your inventory.

So you're going from: 20 -------- 2

to 21 -------- 1

Makes sense when you stop to think about it

The item is not being wielded, so you will not suffer the -hp bonus, or gain the benefits of any positive bonuses, otherwise you could be wielding a staff with +15 energy, and an item with +12, totally unbalancing the game

Intresting. After all of the hours of playing I never stopped to notice that the shield when loaded in the sub, has the "no" symbol (circle with a stripe) in red, but is moved into the inventory. I thought it was like an extra slot, but the artifact/weapon was "in-active". Ok that makes sense guys, oviously the shield was trying to go back to the inventory but it was full.
I feel like a noobert touched for the very first time. LOL
Thank you for your help!
