Using Skill Points?

Hi I have a question regarding the best use of skill points. I recently made a E/Mo and used 4 of my skill points getting spells like ressurection, fireball, heal area and frost shock.

Then I read somewhere the best thing to do with your skill points was save them till the end of the game to buy only those skills you couldn't find. Now I regret buying those 4 spells since I probably could quest for them and I'll be 4 skill points short when I get to the end. So am I screwed? Do you guys spend your skill points on needed spells or hoard them? Also for those of you at the end how long does it take to grind out a skill point? Are there some spells you recomend buying for an E/Mo that I won't be able to find easily?

since you only will find a skill vendor in the next major city (ascolon, yaks, lions) you will most likely have gotton them all in the previose area. also i dont save mine if i see a spell i want i will use one. unless you dont do any quests at all you should be fine

So the skills offered at the trainer are always the same ones you can find in the area's before that trainer? Interesting, do they ever offer skills that can't be found anywhere else (ie the missions before)?

a person who checked said that the reason someone else had almost nothing offered at the skill vendor was that he had cleaned out the quest on skills
a friend who did not do quests had a whole bunch to choose from

not all but more than half according to an interview which said

Oh, and lastly, heres an additional bit of good news about skills: The majority of skills will be available as quest rewards. This does not mean to say that they will be available only as such a reward, of course; you will still be able to get skills in other ways. But if you go on a quest, you may receive a skill as your reward.
