Shield stance with no shield small bug

Well, it's pretty clear for me that shield stance needs a nerf

When switching from weapon+shield to flag/ keg/ dwarf baby/ repair kit/ whatever you carry, it's still possible to use shield stance just as if you still had a shield.

Hu? So you're shielding yourself with a keg? And get 75% block out of it?

Such a blatant overishght makes shield stance way too powerfull and is a major cause of unbalance in... well, any part of GW you'd care to mention

Just like the weapon skills become grey out, shield stance needs to be grey out if the player don't have a shield anymore!

It might need to be fixed, not nerfed.

Unless this is a silent skill buff in the latest patch, you don't get 75% block out of it. You can use it, but it has no effect since you have no shield equipped.

This is a common misconception with a lot of SF farmers. They bring this stance and think it will actually helps the team during the farm while they gear/keg tank. As green farming prot monkey, I can tell you, IT DON'T! Defensive stance does, however, as does Glads and Bonnettis

Quoted for truth. You're not getting the effects of Shield Stance simply because you depressed the button to activate it. Think of it like pressing CHARGE! and standing still, lol.

Ok, I got issues on two parts:

1/ it does have some effect since at least, I got the speed reduction

2/ effect is not the issue: it's the stance not being greyed out that is

You're probably better off sending a ticket about a minor bug to GW support rather than making a thread about it.

Why should the stance be greyed out if you don't have a shield equipped? What if you wanted to use it when you had a focus equipped for energy and then switch to your shield after you used it? Seems perfectly reasonable the way it is.
