I have a couple of gold items, and I suspect they won't have much resale value, but I wanted to make sure before I do something stupid like salvage them or sell them to a merchant.
I have read over other threads but couldn't find anything similar that had actually been answered. I got my weapon mod prices from the other thread, which is a bit out of date...
1. Vampiric Gladius
Slashing Dmg: 15-22 (max)
Requirement: 12 Swordsmanship
Damage +12% (while enchanted)
Life Stealing: 3/-1
Shop Sell: 360gp
Possible Salvage: 5k Hilt
2. Half Moon of Defense
Piercing Dmg: 15-28 (max)
Requirement: 13 Marksmanship
Damage +14% (while in a stance)
Armour +5
Shop Sell: 392gp
Possible Salvage: 5k Grip
3. Zealous Short Bow of Defence
Piercing Dmg: 14-27 (notmax)
Requirement: 9 Marksmanship
Damage: +13% (while in a stance)
Energy Gain on hit: 1/-1
Armour +5
Shop Sell: 320gp
Possible Salvage: 5k Grip, 1k String
1 & 2: Does the Requirement make them unsellable, or just less valueable?
3: Would anyone buy a non-max dmg weapon?
Thanks for reading this thread :-)

Tau The Unstoppable
Sell the gladius or salvage for the mod
The req is high on the halfmoon, but ignoring all stats on the weapon, there're people who REALLY like halfmoons. I wouldn't salvage it, I'd leave it sitting in storage until somebody pops up with "WTB Halfmoon", it happens pretty often.
Salvage the last.
And it's pretty much impossible to sell non-max weaps, unless they're some ridicuously rare skin and people want them for taking screenshots.

wow, i must say i'm very impressed by how much homework you've actually done before posting a pc thread! if only more ppl would follow your example.
a lot of factors affect an item's market value and req is just one of them. a high req item is not necessarily always unsellable, especially if it has a rare skin (you wouldn't merchant a req 13 crystalline/dwarven/serpent etc would you?). same rule may apply for non-max weapons. however, none of your items are rare skinned, so i'd recommend salvaging all three.

the higher a req on a weapon, the less attrib you can spend in other areas, making your build limited to your weapon req, which is baaaaaad.
and for a newbie you seem to have done some background work...good job! 8)

Technically half moons are the same as a short bow, right?
I think I will Salvage 1 & 3, and hold onto 2 either selling it later or try to get a Vampiric 5/-1 and use it myself.
Thanks for your quick replies.

And as a follow up, I got the Vampiric Hilt 3/-1 and the Zealous Bow String 1/-1 so am happy with that result. :-D
