Can this be done?
I tried yesterday to sort the right build, spent about 10K going backwards and forwards while we had favor.
I seem to think its do-able, but when you have 3+ warriors all using HS, and 1 or more monks healing... Its difficult to do ample damage enough to kill them?
Im not doing this for money making, im wanting obs shards.
Anyone had the same trouble? Anyone got a better strategy,
My Build was: PS, HB, SS, Insiduous Parasite/Suffering, EB, BS, Mending, Blessed aura.
FOW (Not UW) 55hp monk farming.

Ya i dont think it can be done...you could possibly try other ways like going as a healing monk or prot and join a real group

Nah your enchants would be stripped by the mesmers. + when the beasts put SS on you its all over using your 55 build. If you have a warrior just use him to solo the spiders in the cave. You'll definitely get some shards from them.

Oh, its doable with a 55 build. I solo the battleplains all the time

What do the mes's cast? Shatter? That's not a huge problem.
Does anthing in FoW cast Lingering or Rend or anything that strips ALL of your enchantments?

Nope. I highly recommend going with an N/Mo build using the same idea. With n/mo you'll be able to out-damage the monks, which can become a problem (especially in groups with 2 monks.) It's a very difficult build, but it can be done, and you can clear about half (maybe more) of FoW with it. This thread has a ton of information about it, including very nice videos.

I agree with sno.... using a N/Mo is much more effective I've spent a good 20k+ with my Mo/N and then just said "F U C K I T" and build my necro into a 55 nec and it was 10x easier!
It can still be done with your monk don't get me wrong, but its sooo much easier with the N/Mo due to dmg output... it takes me about 2x as long to kill groups with monks using my Mo/N, then it does when using my N/Mo

Yeah, i soon came to the "F**K IT" conclusion, i can deal with the mesmers, but i never do enough Dmg output to actually kill anything XD.
Ive been wanting to make a N/Mo for some time, problem is deleting one char to free up a slot.. grr, nvm.

Ya all that extra damage quickly adds up when you use a n/mo to solo fow. The soul reaping bonus is also a nice to make for minimum to no downtime between fights. You can steadily keep stomping enemies into the dirt.
