Change regarding half cast/recharge

I liked it better when it was x% chance for fast cast/ recharge.
Half cast makes my setup useless and therefore the bonuses are also useless.

This game is so minimalist as it is (which isn't always a bad thing), why did they make it worse?

I think a better solution would be x% chance for INSTANT cast or recharge. This would make the weapons/ offhands exciting to use.
Think about it.
This game is getting boring enough, having to put up with a slow recharge/ cast instead of a hell-ishly slow recharge/ cast isn't helping.

It's never changed, it's always been the way it is now. They only clarified the wording.

if you bored of cast/recharge speeds take mesmer primary ! but i really think you got it wrong. if you use skils with 25-60 recharge and 3-5 cast only and expect your items to do uber job recharging-casting then its your fault not theirs cause fastest you can get them is recharge:6.25-15 and casting1-1.3 and seeing the chance aint helping , you see the need for more tactical skill bars

That's not the way i see it.

Let me use this example. I farm for ectos with Spiteful Spirit. I echo it. It's common practice. Before this so called "clarification" i could put 5 SS's on a group of smites. Now im lucky to get 3 or 4. Not due to energy consumption, but recharge time.
With the old wording, i did notice recharge times of 1 second. This wasn't a fluke. It happened every run many many times. That's how i know they changed it.


As for what tryptamine_xxp was saying,
No, the longest charge skill i use is echo. AS for needing a more tactical skill bar... can you make this many bone fiends?

It's always been half cast/recharge times, xx% chance. They just now explicitly say how fast and that it's only for spells.

1 second recharge for SS isnt half recharge. So no, it hasn't always been half cast.

Whatever, he checked his and i checked mine. I know how fast mine recharged.

IN ANY CASE, this sort of recharge doesnt happen anymore. The fastest i've had on SS was 5 seconds.

Long story short, thanks Anet for another nerf.
