Considering the confusion regarding the pre-release of factions, my suggestion is this:

Please ArenaNet/NCSoft, the next update, make it possible to just buy a new key through the www.guildwars.com website.

The key would give the buyer access to the new game, and for most of us that's enough - I couldn't care less about box, DVD, or poster, and I'm sure I'm not the only one - although I suppose making the quick reference guide downloadable as a PDF would be a nice idea.

Charge full price if you want, this is simply a service and people will be buying for the convenience anyway.

They still sell the game at $49.99? Most places have it at $39.99 or less.

I was wondering about that. If you buy a pre-order box at $40 do you have to come back in and pay a finishing $10 or something once the game comes out? I had to do this for another game I pre-ordered once but I wasn't sure if that's the case for this or not.

depends on the store... Heck some retailers are crooked enough to hick the price up if its really popular... Basically if you do a pre-order... make sure it says someplace on your order Paid in full. then the store has little choice on the matter. But some stores Babbage's, Gamestop, Software ect... just to name a few are very crooked when it comes to fair pre-orders and truth in advertising ... One could actually say they are notorious for changing the prices on you all the time on product. the NCSOFT store however will always charge the MSRP on the box. that's what the game is suppose to sell for as far as they are concerned... what others box stores do with old inventory to get rid of it is their business... For them its often dropping the price to the point of a loss... The good side is the player gets a bargain on the game... But the convenience and service you get from ONLINE purchase will likely be the same as it is right now for some time to come...
