I logged on a week ago and wanted to play with my Mesmer. I saw I had a new quest in my Quest Log, a quest I did not like so I said to myself not to do it. The quest was taken. I was a bit worried, because there have been alot of people hacked these days...

Now, I was like: "Oh well, I might have just taken it without knowing it."
Now I log on back again on my Mesmer and I see the quest is completed. Now I'm worried. I'm nothing missing btw.

It's the Yak's Bend quest btw, where you gotta go to someone's tomb stone.

I might chance my password right away. A guy on this forum lost about 300k and valueable stuff and a few days later his account got hacked.

Good idea. That is kinda freaky, are you sure you didn't just get the quest sometime before and hide it?

Actually, uh, I know I've never been in that zone except for when I was run through, and yet it says that quest is completed on my ranger. So that quest is just a tad bit screwy.

I hope it is, I really do.

That quest has 3 parts. Go to the tombstone, look for some body, collect reward.
When I first saw it in my quest log it had all 3 parts, second time I looked the "look for some body" was also done.

You know what, my ranger, who has never set foot in the Ascalon Foothills, shows the "Oswalt's Epitaph" quest as being "Completed" -- "speak with Oswalt for your reward."

Must be a bug. Either that or someone is hacking a LOT of guild wars accounts, partially completing this quest, and logging off.

Theres a quest bandit now who sneaks in while your away and does random quests and then leaves without touching anything else?

Perhaps you passed by the area and completed the quest without knowing it? The recent update includes the following:

I had this quest screw up just like this on my Ele. My guess is it's a bug, because I know I never went to that headstone and I finished that quest.

Anet did tweak that quest in the last update, maybe they got sloppy somehow.
