Collectors Ed. still work on existing accts?
Spy
Does anyone know if I originally made an acct. with the regular GW and if I were to install the GW: Collectors Edition on my comp, would that allow me to have the items or glowing aura? Or is the account tied to the original non CE? Thanks for any replies.

If you add the CE cd-key to your current account you will get the glowing emote's on your current account, but you would still only have 4 character slots (not 8). Whereas if you created a new account with a CE cd-key you'd then have 8 character slots (4 slots per account) with 1 account having the glowing aura (the CE account).
BTW, the disc's that come with the CE edition or regular edition have nothing to do with your account(s). All they do is install the client and the main game files needed to play. The client and files installed are the same from disc's from either CE or normal edition box's. Once you have the client installed.. you log-in with an account, and this account is global (ie you can log into the account from anywhere in the world).
Account's are tied to the CD-Key's you set them up with - ie an account with a CE key will always be a CE account, while an account with a normal account key will always be a normal account, unless you add a CE key to it. They have nothing to do with the CD's you use to install the game - the files are the same no matter what edition you install from.

Mandy Memory
it just wastes money though.

Yeah...thats a quite expensive cost for just glowy hands if you are adding it to another account. You'd be better off just having two.

Wait a second. Did I miss anything?
You can combine 2 accounts?
How does that work?
Let s say > I have 2 normal (non CE account) > can I combine them? And how?
Does it combine storage too? And how about the other attributes? Like Fames/Rank or Friendslist?
Could you clarify this please?

EDIT
YOU CAN MERGE 2 DIFFERENT VERSIONS (REGULAR AND CE) THOUGH
on the combined regular/CE the storage will be combined not separate

All you can do is keep adding unused CD keys to an account, and this will not really achieve much, save for potentially adding the Divine Aura to an originally non-CE account... oh, and wasting how ever much the second copy of the game cost

if you have a loaded regular account you spent 1000 hours on with rank/fame high characters and you want glowing hands without going through building it up all over again on the CE account it might be worth it to combine them and get glowing hands keeping your fame/rank/items/money

agreed...

...but combining the two does not give you 8 slots on one account. It'll just add Divine Aura to your Standard Edition.
