Guild Wars Economy

If the merchants would just give you gold for what things were worth, people wounld't have to go through all the trouble just to sell something. The thing is, people want to play the game, not sell things. When people can't sell an item what do they do? They drop the prices and it becomes a price dropping cycle. Selling items to a merchant also makes a bigger challenge for people so there wouldn't be as many items for sale on the market. People should have to earn their weapons. Even if people do wanna sell their items, it would have to be more than trader offers. I mean anyone desperate could sell a green item for 36 gold. Selling items makes people get bored of the game. I just don't know how to put all of this. I'm just speaking my mind... sorry for rambling.

I love trading, spend most of my time doing that :P, But they could not make the merchants buy your gold items, green items maby, but to much difference in gold items.

Having Merchants actually pay you decent for items always makes a wonderful price capping system. It's the think I liked most about Silkroad Online. Between fair merchant pricing and the stall system I never had to waste my time selling something.
