GW:F question that has NOT been asked!

I've read the official faq on Anet, and I've used the SEARCH button here, nothing.........So here goes..........

I have the regular version of GW. My bro gave it to me when he got tired of the game. After the fact, I would have liked to have the CE edition, glowing hands and all (ive beat the game months ago by the way)

Anyway, I plan on getting Factions and using my W/M to play that campaign. He's my only character and I dont feel like starting over or trying out the new classes yet.

If I was to buy the CE edition of Factions, and if they offer something like a Glowing hands or something that can be used for any class, can my already made W/M get the glowing hands from Factions(if they offer it or something like it)???? Or would it be for new characters only?

I know I cant change my current account to have the Prophecies CE stuff. But what about the Factions CE stuff for already existing characters?

I wont be messing with any other class for quite awhile. I like my W/M and have pretty much mastered him. So new items for the 2 new classes, I dont care about that for now.

IF the Factions CE has DEVINE AURA

and IF you merged them than all characters on that merged account should have the glowing hands.

will they have the aura or something totally different i dont know.

you can change your current acct to have ch1 CE stuff

that would require buying a chapter 1 CE and adding the key to the existing account but that would be a bit expensive for glowing hands

Adding the glowing hands to an existing account is something that "was" NOT possible. But honestly, I dont follow the GW community outside of the game, so I dont know of many changes that have been made since I started playing, around 8 months ago.

I've got over $300 in BestBuy gift cards with no real interest in buying anything. So dropping some giftcard value on the CE of Prophecies would be no prob. I never bought the game in the first place, my brother did. I just took over his account and dumped his PVP characters and started my own PVE guy. So im not out the $50 from the first GW purchase

I have not seen anything about what the CE has. Everything I have read is about how the game works and how you can join the accounts, which I will most definatly do!!

I just want to get whatever benefits I can from buying the CE with my W/M. I've put WAY TOO MUCH time into the game to not get whatever extra stuff is offered. I love GW and figure that since I will play this game until Anet goes under, I might as well get everything that I can from it!!!!!! (without having to start over at this point in time)

GAILE stated that adding a CE key to an existing regular account would give any special item (Devine Aura for example) but not increase the slot number

actually you are not *adding* it to a regular account but instead *upgrading / converting* your existing account to the CE while keeping everything you have done so far.

are the chapter 1 CE still for sale?

As for the OP, I really don't think you can merge accounts and to me, it wouldn't seem very reasonable to combine a previously played 4 character account and a new 4 character account. Good Luck though. E-Mail Anet/support??

You CAN Merge accounts, thats what the big fuss has been over, not getting 4 MORE slots if you merge them but only getting 2 MORE slots.

Just like the OP stated he wants to take his Warrior and use him in Factions. The only way to do this is to merge the two games. I will do the same things so that I can continue to play the characters that I've had all along. I will also be making a new character from the new classes.

I'm going to get the CE of Factions and I hope what ever "gift" I get will include my 3 other lvl 20's that I've played for the last 8 months. But untill Anet states what we wil be getting all we can do is hope/guess to what they will give us.
