What exactly is the purpose of having 55 hp? Does it affect any of the skills you use? Or do people just make 55 HP monks because it's impressive playing with 55 hp in tough areas?
Can't you just make a monk with a higher amount of HP? Or will it offset some skills or whatnot?

That said, yes I would advise you to go read cerb's guide. (but ill help a little) 55 monks are primarly used for farming (they can also run and tank).

Well, thanks for the link. Yeah, I Would've searched, but it was down.
To Tsunami: I knew they were used for farming and tanking, etc... I just didn't know what the purpose of the 55 HP was, now that I've read the guide, however, I do. Thanks.

As a 55 monk you can not lose any life because You always use superior protect stuff and you bond protect yourself till it is almost indestructible
A 55 monk should not be a runner or a monk who has to protect and heal others, the purpose is mainly to farm, stay alive , tank and not die. It is especially good in UW or FOW. You should not focuse on heal or smite at all! you max out protect and bond and protect YOURSELF ONLY OR ELSE YOU HAVE A VERY HIGH DEGENERATION OF ENERGY! seifer402
55 monks are great runners, especially for southern shiverpeaks, SB pwns all :P
