which is better for an 6800GT
Zalman FV-700 or an Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 5 (Revision 2)

I have not compared the two, but I use the Zalman and I can guarantee you that there is basically no noise at all generated in Silent Mode. My graphics card is cooled in silent mode all the time and the temperature never went over 40 to 45 degrees.

the answer to that question is determined by case temps.

The short answer is the Arctic Cooling one, but the Zalman, with the right airflow setup, is just as good and just as silent, only it dumps the heat in the case, where the silencer exhauts it out the back.

Yup, the arctic is the easiest to put on, I remember when I put one onto my beloved 9880xt it kept it cool until it died . the Zalman are good, but as is said only if you have good case cooling.
