What is it updating?

Guild Wars is still updating for me. When I'm at the account login or character selection screen, the lighting bolt at the top-right is downloading something. It's currently at 47mb, what exactly is it updating?

Factions, probably for the preview weekend comming up.

That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure.

Does anybody know how big it is?

I hit 257 MB this past weekend.

Same I noticed it going at 300MB than I was curious so I let it sit and load for a bit it reached 689MB until I said screw it and logged in.

Everytime I look up there on mine it says 480kb or 2.4mb. Never anything more than that.

It's loading all chat logs and transactions from your character to weed out the baddies and scammers for chater 2.

Mine keeps on attracting my attention to:
high peek of like 400mb

I download 20mb EVERY time i load into the guild hall...

maxed out at 600mb when i let it sit for a while on the main screen.

I have not seen anything of this kind

At first I thought it was maybe repairing my data file (I reformatted, and my install obviously was reverted to launch day using my cd upon reinstall), but when I hit the 600mb mark, I realized there was NO way I hadn't redownloaded all of it (I go into most zones once before I play again).

I have a feeling it is Factions content, but only time will tell... or Gaile

Ouch, you are getting GW plus any changes since launch, Sorrow's Furnance, plus Faction code. I've only gotten about 190mb and gw.dat file is about 1.2 gb.
