PC Gold FIRE STAFF req 9, Recharge 9%, Fire Casting 20%, Fire Magic +1 (20%)

If the stats were switched around, 20% recharge and 9% cast, I think it would be worth more.

The reason being fire isn't used much in PvP, where fast cast is essential, and casting speed isn't too important in PvE, unless ur gonna be facing a whole bunch of mesmer enemies, which is not often, and those mobs do have "perfect" reaction times.

But yea, 200k sounds like a fair price.

that seems to be the general feeling but when i play a fire ele, i'd prefer casting speed over recharge simply because the most popular fire spell - meteor shower - takes 5 seconds to cast. that's a long time to be standing there casting a spell. can't remember how long it takes to recharge, 30 or maybe 60 seconds, but i always use glyph of renewal before casting MS so that MS recharges instantly, and all i have to do is wait for the glyph to recharge (15 secs) before casting again. so basically, recharging that spell is not a worry at all as that GoR + MS combo is ready to be used again in less than 15 seconds after MS is launched.

some of the other fire spells take 2-3 seconds to cast too, so fast-casting is something i for one appreciate very much.

and the skin aint all that great.

Very true, cos when I play pyromancer in PvE, I always use my mesmer for fast cast, so the casting time bonus isn't as important to me.
