Confused about my pre-order

I pre-ordered Guild Wars on the very first day we were allowed to, and got my stuff to play in the weekend event in time for the september beta event...or was it october....anyway

Now I see that there is a special Guild Wars Package that they showed on the www.guildwars.com website.

So my question is: Will I get the special package if I pre-ordered the game? Or am I going to get some cheap cd in a garbage bag? I am wishing and hoping that we get that special package since we were the first to order this game without knowing about the collector's edition which has now been brought out into the open.

Also, since we will be given an Internet Chat Headset from Logitech with the package, DOES THAT MEAN THERE WILL BE A TEAMSPEAK OPTION IN GUILD WARS!?!?

You're more than likely still just going to get the original edition that you paid for, since the collectors edition costs a little bit extra.

It's not that big of a deal mind you, you'll just not get all the doodads that the Collectors Edition has. Though you could always do like I'm planning to, and give the place you pre-ordered from a call and ask if you can upgrade your order to the collectors edition for the little bit extra.

you will get what you ordered

if about 50 dollars you will get the regular game box

if you contact them you should be able to upgrade to the version and pay the extra

the collectors edition is about 80 dollars

you want more you pay more

the collector's edition is not the same thing as the retail version. in fact, the MSRP is 60% more expensive. pre-order procedures depend completely upon who you pre-ordered from, so your best bet is to contact them. some places will allow you to put your deposit towards another item, like the collector's edition, if you pre-ordered the retail version.

the game does not and will most likely not directly support in-game voicechat in the future. that has been stated by devs in past interviews.

I bought it at CompUSA ( eb games rox, but didn't have it in. ) But so I just got a slip that says "preorder" and the guy said it will take 10 dollers off the cost of the final game if I show them the slip when I buy it. Does this in fact mean that I can just be paying 10 off the retail? Or can I just buy the special one with this? It seems I can get the special, but wants to make sure.

Make sure you know how the system works, though. I haven't ordered anything from Gamestop in the past.. but try and ask if they actually reserve a copy in your name come release. If they do, you might end up with a normal edition instead of a CE.. and Gaile said that there is only a limited supply (don't know how big this supply is.. but there is a possibility of it being sold out).. and so there is also a possibility of not being able to get a collector's edition because they might be reserved for others.

Never hurts to be sure, no?

Today I called EB games to upgrade from basic to Collectors Edition. They needed me to physically go into the store to sign off on the cancellation of the old pre-order and then they put my cash paid onto the Collectors preorder. I suggest phoning the place to see what they want you to do. They didn't want my pre-order box returned either.
