Well, the lag spikes I receive in populated towns or outposts are just unbearable.

If my character enters the game in a densely populated town or outposts, I will have to switch district or map out to a non-populated area immediately, or I will have to quit and restart, due to Guild Wars being frozen.

Is that due to the PC or lag? When I zone into district 1 in Droks or LA I need to wait a couple of minutes until the commands I type are in sync with what's on the screen.

Normally I just type something in the team chat channel and when I see that appear on the screen pretty close to when I typed it I know its safe to start doing stuff.

Well lets think about this, it is simply a build to maximize farming. To follow your logic, then the people left to farm in groups(i.e the rest of us), who each come up with a specific build of skills and ultimately players to maximize thier chance to farm, should also be scrapped. So in the end, anyone with any skill can "farm" and that wouldn't be fair, lets take all skills except heals out. So you are left with just people to transport from town to town and talk about nonsense, fun game eh?.

Who cares, it is a brilliant build, let them do thier farming, besides before too long factions will be out and all the bored farmers will be there playing the story line.

Yep, we've had lag spikes from Hell lately--really the last month or so. But today we have encountered a new problem (for us)---the "Your Network Login has expired" idiocy. If I weren't logged in, how could I play? Geesh!

I've had three "Code=010 Guild Wars could not complete the operation" since the March 3rd update. All three were while farming Griffons no less...made me think the Guild Wars gods were slapping my wrist.

alright.. i've been playing Gw on my three year old dell laptop here at college since release. and also over my self installed wireless network at home over the summer and. i'll be honest.. no lag. ever.

no disconnects.
no err=3 or code=10's.. ever.
no rubberbanding or spontaneous shutdowns..

so in summary.. I win. and you really should think twice about bliming anet because chances are it's your computer.. or more probably your isp. or something between you and anet's servers that's causing the "OMGlagggg".

The client is downloading huge amounts of content, that may be responsible for the lag. Its probably the content for the Factions FPE (it may even be the complete Factions game, Jeff Strain may have mentioned something like this in a recent interview).

Yeah, that lil lightning bolt in the top right corner has been absolutely zinging lately. It's counting up 2-3 mb everytime I log in it seems.

It's not my computer or connection. And I quote Error 010:

"Guild Wars could not complete the operation"

Key words, GUILD WARS. Not "Your PC or ISP could not complete the operation"

counterpoint.

The error message does not state why Gw could not complete the operation.. and as i've never actually recieved that error, nor does it happen to everybody at the same time.. it's only logical that some action comitted by your computer or your Isp and connection could have been what caused Gw to be unable to complete whatever it was trying to do at that time.

I've found latency and rubberbanding increasing over the past few months. It's most noticeable on my Warrior when he tries to use 100blades. I've got lots of screenshots of situations where he should have hit two mobs standing right next to eachother... yet apparently one of those mobs was actually across the screen.

Although my favorite is when I run up to a mob to attack it, and I end up just standing there because my client doesn't know yet that the mob is feet in the other direction.

I've been attributing it to Anet "optimizing" their servers, since that's what game companies seem to do about 6 months after launch.
