15k and 1.5k Ascalon helm

Do they dye the same?? i was wondering if the 15k was dyed as a whole and if 1.5k was dyed only on horns. Answers anyone?

Most people try to get the 15k Ascalon helm because it dyes so much better than the normal droks version.
The drok version doesn't dye hardly at all.
15k ascalon helm dyes very well, you'll fine a lot of fully silver or gold ones floating around every major running city. Go to the ember light camp or the desert or any of the missions that are in the shiver peaks. Look around for the horn helms on the barbs. If they're not brown and dingy, they're 15k or better and you'll see exactly what they look like.
Personally the 15k ascalon helm is well worth it... it looks great (though the full ascalon 15k set isn't that hot... just the helm). Kind of like how 15k Gladiators is actually a beautiful set of armor, compared to the normal droks. It's well worth it in my opinion if you have the extra gold and nothing worth while to spend it on.

Yes he summed it up, but i think its a good mix with 15k platemail, i suggest if ytou don't want full glads, get full 15k plate mail, and a 15k ask a lawn helm, or, go with full dragon but helm, and get a 1.5k askalawn helm, it looks actually decent, because they both dye simlaryly (SP) lol well thats my opinion, oh in my avatar is 15k ascalon, so yeh

no I found black looked terrible on my 15k Ask helm, just makes it look dirty or something.

I would just use a normal gladiators halmet switch off so other can't see it.I prefer the Knights over the Ascalon anytime.
