I have a question about reqs and actual weapon mods on the weapon. So I have this N/Mo and he has a Poisonous longbow of enchanting..ie lengthens poision duration of foes by 33% and enchantments last 20% longer. Now I dont have the req 8 for it. My question..can my N/Mo use the longbow to shoot 1 arrow at the right times to make use of the 33% poison lengthen and/or 20% longer enchantment on the target effects from the longbow? And if so does it have to be my enchantment/poison to work?

Thanks,
RM

You don't actually have to be using the weapon to gain the benefit, you just have to be wielding it. So long as it's equipped, anytime you cause a Poison condition on a foe it lasts 33% longer, and anytime you cast an enchantment it lasts 20% longer. The requirement only affects the base damage and not the mods.

Just to emphasise that you shooting an arrow at an enemy who is already poisoned, won't lengthen it, neither will enchantments another monk casts on you last 20% longer.

Thanks that clears the fog of uncertainity for me. Question: Does a hex count as an enchantment, because it has a duration?

No a hex counts as a hex, and a condition counts as a condition
