Pre-order merge with account questions

This probably doesn't require a new thread, but I haven't found an answer by searching.

I got my pre-order package and attempted to add it to my existing account, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it. It has an option to install the client, but that just tells me I already have Guild Wars installed and gives me options to replace or delete Guild Wars. I did the "replace Guild Wars" option, and I got an extra icon on my desktop thats a duplicate of the original Guild Wars icon I always use to start the game. I'm assuming when the beta even happens I will be prompted to input the code key to play for the weekend. How do I get my pre-order items? Do I not get them till the beta weekend, or until after the release date? I tried things like /preorder in the command line to see if that would work, but I'm not even sure I merged the pre-order with my existing account. There's nothing that says I did. Anyone else have these issues?

Log in to Guild Wars and you should have an option along the bottom that says something to the effect of 'Account Options' or 'Edit Account'. From there, it's easy.

I clicked on the "edit account" option last night, but didn't see anything for this. I'll check again tonight.

Edit Account ----> Manage Access Keys -----> Add a new key ----> You are done.
