Many people speculate as to the whereabouts of Gwen. She simply disappeared, leaving no traces that anyone has found. I recently made a new character and searched for clues as to where Gwen might have gone after the sear.
I stumbled upon this in a special "hidden stash" area that drops rare skinned weapons. If there is a Krytan Axe in presearing, maybe that means people from Kryta came over in presearing and took Gwen back with them to save her life. She's a monk, so maybe she grew up and changed her name and is a character now that we see all the time. I'm gonna search in Kryta now for her whereabouts.
Is this where they took Gwen?

The 'Tattered Girl's Cape' (something like that) is found in the Krytan wilderness... when I found that, I thought "hey, this is the cloak I bought Gwen in pre-searing Ascalon!"
Thing is, the searing was only 2 years in the past, so she'd still only be in her mid-teens. Unless she's some sort of anime-style child prodigy with killer powers, she's either very sneaky or very heavily guarded... Wait! Maybe she took a ship to Cantha?! She can heal and was surrounded by death... what if she became a teenage ritualist?!
Thing is, the searing was only 2 years in the past, so she'd still only be in her mid-teens. Unless she's some sort of anime-style child prodigy with killer powers, she's either very sneaky or very heavily guarded... Wait! Maybe she took a ship to Cantha?! She can heal and was surrounded by death... what if she became a teenage ritualist?!

That sword is easy to get there, you get it from a quest. And I just think they put in all of these skins for no particular reason. Maybe they just wanted to show the diversity of weapon skins to all new players, but I don't know. It's always fun to speculate.

There has to be a reason why there's clues of her in post searing, like her flute and the tattered cape.

I've found Stone Summit Hammers in Pre-Searing (no, not a collector/quest item) 
I doubt it has anything to do with Gwen though ..

there is a chest that i always go to a few times when i am in pre-searing. ive gotten summit hammers, magmas arms, eerie staffs(ritualist), krytan axes, and some other odd things from it.

Ascalon was at war with Krytans, long ago, just talk to a few npc in asclaon and you will learn that, that explains drops from "kryta"
