Whats your pick for the best place to lvl up? Ive found that outside toa you can cast kill the lvl 17 reed stalkers while hiding behind the columns so you dont take wand dmg and can power lvl while in pre sear armor . At low levels you get 600 exp per with a 200g adventurers scroll. The drops they leave pay for your scrolls. If you do it fast you can get from something like lvl 4 to 16 in just a couple hours which has cut down my complete character creation time to 1 day. Its also good if you cant sprint to follow a power leveler. Hope this helps

Killing behind a wall mostly rely on spells with DoT. This is effective mostly for Necros and maybe even mesmers, but an elementalist can only rely on immolate...

meteor, meteor shower, fire storm, immolate, incendiary bonds, rodgort's invocation, and searing heat can all be cast behind cover.

the problem with those spells (Fire storm.. etc) is the new Aoe patch makes all the monsters scatter. those spells can deal about 2 hits max before the enemies scramble for cover..

Just tried the Reed Stalkers, yes you can avoid their normal attacks, but Wastrel's Worry is a HUGE hassle. How do you avoid that? I've tried getting to the very edge of their agro range, but they still cast.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

While it's evidently better if the low level can level themselves, I'm sure one can figure out more creative ways to make long leveling treks while also getting decent gold and drops.

For example - Hire a ranger with the appropriate setup available (nothing elite, no super items, just a long or flat bow and the R/Mo setup of skills for a barrage leecher) and have them level you just outside of the Ice Caves of Sorrow.

Sure you get half the exp, but you can kill quite a number of baddies in 10 minutes over there. And they're all lvl20+. Plus, they drop items all over the place as well as gold. And only the ranger can spank the ice imps and avoid maelstrom thanks to a flat bow and barrage. Same with siege ice golems, etc. You get loads of exp for your payer and lots of drops on top of that (even shiverpeak keys for the chests you run into right there too).

Plus you can talk to someone and not be ultra bored for an hour

Cheers!

Divinity Coast mission - use the Eye of Janithir to stop the Ettins and Drakes and kill away.

Gates of Kryta - go the "back path" near the hog and you'll find several hiding places from the Skeleton Rangers at the bottom of the path. You'll have to kite some Hellhounds first, but otherwise you can hex away.

Maguuma Jungle - there are quite a few places in the wilderness where you can hide from large groups of Maguuma Spiders. One is right where you complete the Eye for Profit quest outside of The Wilds

Any other "behind a wall" spots out there? Wastrel's Worry can be suppressed by spaming a skill of some sort. like reversal of fortune.

Another "behind a wall" spot is near Gates of Kryta (well it's technically more of a Cliff than a Wall). After the first few mergoyles, go for the high ground, and start draining all those lvl 17 bogs and lvl 14 mergoyles stuck in that little cavern below ya, they'll try to run around and get you... but somehow they can never make it up the hill...

When my mesmer was getting run to droknars, I killed 5 tundra giants at lv 3... empthy and conjure phantasm...

Quite Vulgar [FUN]

You are in the right place but the wrong monsters. Take a right outside Toa and kill the lvl 17 bog scales. Just be sure to move when you kill 1 of them they use putrid explosion really fast.

You can kill them in groups of 3 and there are 2 groups right outside toa. They use chilbans so you cannot rely on enchantments.

For an ele use the normal fire set up for close range kill, pheonix, inferno (fire blast if you have it), fireball, meteor, and ward vs melee. You will have no problem with them.

I have power lvled every single class on the game in that same spot vs bog skales. Just remember no enchantments and move when 1 of them dies.
