I was thinking maybe a rune that gives energy?
Minor: +1 energy
Major: +3 energy
Superior: +5 energy
I'm not sure if it should be available to all classes or just to the casters (since warriors get absorption anyway).
Another idea could be runes that reduce damage towards elements. It could be one "elemental absorption" rune or maybe split up between water, air, fire, and earth runes.
Minor: -1 towards the element
Major: -2 towards the element
Superior: -3 towards the element
Any more ideas?

My vote goes toward making all runes universal except for 1 rune for each class.
So universal absorption/elemental/+energy/etc.
And maybe something like:
Warrior: just bring back fury runes (increase adrenal retention time)
Necro: bring back the rune that increased soul reaping radius
Ranger: something that lowers flight time of arrows
Ele: something that causes 1,3,5% of damage taken to be taken from energy instead
Mes: steals 1 energy from target on cast (friend or foe) @ (2,4,6% chance)
Monk: reverses 2 damage @ 2,4,6% chance

I dont understand your logic...unless you thought I meant attribute runes...
