I have read a few reviews, and looked at many forums, no-one has mentioned LAN gaming.
Does it exist, can I use multiple PC's on my LAN to play a multiplayer game like Diablo2.???
Or do I have to endure lagginess while playing on-line.???
If I can play on a LAN, I will order the game today, if not I will have to think about it.

This game is played over the internet all the time, so you can't use the speed from LAN.

Will the game be laggy with 3 people all using the same broadband connection through the same router.???

No. The maps are singled out per party. So relatively minimum data traffic when your not in towns/outposts .When out of towns/outposts much of your traffic will most likely be just character movements. I've personally done 3 behind a DSL connection at 27Kbit download and 12 upload. A bit slow on downloading the files and entering towns but relatively no lag when in a mission/quest.

I've had 7 friends running it on my single broadband cable connection.... You'll only notice the "lag" in and around towns congested with A LOT of people... otherwise. Not a peep of lag while actually doing missions, quests, or exploring.
Enjoy the gaming goodness that is Guild Wars..... and uninstall Diablo 2.

Well, I tend to get a lot of lag in missions, but thats most likely due to the campus network not being friendly to online gaming. I'll have to see how it plays when I finally get home this afternoon...
