Bookmarks and Browser problem
Kool Pajamas
Just recently I went into my browser (FireFox) and all my bookmarks had dissapeared and when I open a new window it opens in half a screen instead of fully stretched out. Has anyone else had this? Could it be a virus? I dont see any other problems on my computer. The only thing I did different than usual today was opening that GW Freaks tool for the first time.

Try re-importing your bookmarks from here :-
C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
Take a look a round in the folders for Bookmarks.html. Then use the 'Manage Bookmarks' screen in FF to import from a file. Just point it to the relevant Bookmarks.html file and voila.
As for the opening at halfsize, open a new window and maximise it. Then close FF down via the File > Exit command and restart. That should allow it to open up in fullsize the next time. That doesn't work 100% of the time though.

It's a hidden folder. From a Windows Explorer window go into Tools and select Folder Options. Select the View tab. A little ways down there is a choice between two options concerning hidden files and folders. Currently the "Do not show..." will be selected, select "Show hidden..." instead and apply it. Now you should be able to see a few more folders in your profile.

The Application Data folder is hidden by default.
Open up your 'C:\Documents and Settings\Username' folder and click on the 'Tools' option. Then click 'Folder options' and then the 'View' tab. You should then see an option to 'Show hidden Folders' click it so the button is black and then click 'Apply'. Click 'OK' to get out of there and you should be able to see the 'Application Data' folder then.
EDIT: Damn, beaten to it!

Thanks! The bookmarks are back. But my window continues to open at half size instead of maximized.

From MozillaZine :-
Firefox 1.5
Exit Firefox completely and then start it in safe mode. A window called Firefox Safe Mode with some troubleshooting options will appear. Select the option "Reset toolbars and controls" and choose "Make Changes and Restart".
Earlier Firefox versions
Exit Firefox completely and then open the profile folder and delete the file "localstore.rdf". Make sure to delete the "localstore.rdf" file in the profile folder and not the program files copy[2] (in Windows, the profile folder may be hidden).
