It took me 3 weeks of casually playing each day and using just the single build I created. I ascended just last night and hit 20 like 3 days I ago I think....then again I was doing just about all quests and missions.

After about 40 hours of play I'm at level 13, so at this rate, I'll hit 20 in about 60 hours total. Yes, I'm a slow player.

nothing wrong with doing it slow, that's how it is supposed to be played. However there are certain areas you can powerlevel yourself for 4 or 5 levels in a couple hours. But it kind of ruins the gaming experience. I'm going to japan in a 2 months and there is no high speed internet on that base so I'm just trying to get a bunch of lvl 20 charcters before I leave

Umm I think I got 20 to finish my ascension missions. At about 30+ hours I think. Less then a week anyhow.

My mesmer was at lvl 14 and I played him for about...130 hours? And my necro who I'm playing now is at lvl 15 and I've played him for about...80 hours I'd suppose. I'm takin' it slow, clearing out any and all quests that I can do. Sometimes I'll just play hours and hours of arena low level play.

I'm in no rush, I'm having a lot more fun than I think I would if I just did the necessary missions and powerleveled in 30 hours.

My problem is that with a new game, I have a hard time sticking to one character for extended periods of time, at first. I've made 6, deleted 2, so far. :P

1st character I made, total n00b, it took me what felt like forever to get to lvl 10, doing all quests/exploring - maybe 30-32 hours? - I hadn't even done Fort Ranik mission or very far past Piken Square.

My current character it's taken me about 14 hours to get to lvl 11.5/Borlis Pass even with doing a lot of side-quests (not all of them).
It's all familiarlity plus how much one likes to explore.

After about 48 hours, I'm level 13, so it'll take a while. I do a lot of social stuff, I'm not a powerlevler.

though both chars now add up to like 220h playtime, so i did much more than levelling them

Exactly. Whenever I get to a new town, I complete every quest I possibly can before I move on.

Geese man, it took you 8 hours to get to level 20? And what you feel about GW after this?

I think all those who get to higher level of the game in such a short time start whining in a little while how easy is to level. Which is NOT, unless you stare at that monitor for 15 hours a day, having no work, no life.. nothing.

I've been playing for a couple weeks now, I am only lvl 14, and you know what? I don't regret. Because I have a LIFE. And I have real fun when I come back to play it again.

Most of the players in GW are teenagers, what else they can do? Some kids don't even have normal friends. Their best friend is computer. They spend like 15 hours a day at the computer. That's SAD.

I think my /age was somewhere around 80 hours. That consisted of doing every side mission in ascalon and shiverpeaks, and then starting to miss a few on my way through the lion's arch/denravi area. I hit level 20 soon after entering Amnoon Oasis.

It took me around 2 weeks , not full time playing mind you. Maybe 2-4 hours a day, doing missions and such.

This is my second char though, so it took close to 40 hours to get to level 20 and ascend (currently on Dragon's Lair)

However, I have done EVERY SINGLE QUEST up to ascendance except Villainy, so its not really rushing, I just know what to do =)

For my second character I went the fast way and ascended my monk in a total of 16 hours. He was level 11 when he killed his mirror.

First Char... ~ 55 hours doing ALL the sub quests / bonus before moving to next town and such (gave up doing all the bonuses after trying 20 times riverside...)

Second Char... ~ 30 hours, doing only primary missions with rare items i got from my first char. All missions were done in 1 try, and when I finished ascension, i was level 17. Beat my mirror, and it made me level 20 instantly...
The NET PvE time is less than 30, because I spent so much time in arenas owning people with superior items...

I'm one of those people. I don't spend 15 hours a day, but I sleep for 8 hours, do HW for 2 hours, and then go to school for about 7 hours. That leaves about 7 hours. I spend 7 hours a day on the computer on week days. And yes, maybe 15 hours a day on the weekends.

I don't have many friends, and they don't really do anything. I'm not attractive or athletic, and I have trouble with my social skills. What do you want me to do instead? Maybe you that that that's sad, but if you can't help me, shut up next time.

First char, 122 hours. Second char, 45 hours.

Edit: For me, the PC is everything and I have a cool GF and some friends.. Im not athletic and recently lost all of my weight that labeled me tubby after 1 year of 2 hours per day of excersise. Now, I have friends, but im not popular. My social skills are ok, but I still use the computer the most. The thing is, I get paid to do easy stuff like repairing PC's for morons from BestBuy. Im 16 and I make 300$ per week because I was a PC nerd. And I didnt even graduate yet. Sad? Lol I love my life

Don't pay attention to them mate, everyone has a life.
