Recent changes...

Playing around with a new character last night, I finally did all the quests (literally, every single quest) in pre-searing, and decided to bring my lvl 8 Ranger through the searing. I remembered that there was a collector girl in Ascalon who gave a belt pouch (I thought it was for Grawl Necklaces, which I had a TON of) so I ran over to her. No, she doesn't take Grawl Necklaces, she takes Charr Hides.... but what's this? She will give me a fur square for 4 charr hides?!?!?!?

Is this a recent change, or have I simply never noticed this before? I don't think she has always offered fur squares... if so, why were fur squares selling for ridiculous amounts before? Taking my warrior back to Old Ascalon I was able to farm (for about an hour) and get 20 Charr hides, which I turned into 5 Fur Squares right away. Seems really easy.

So was this a recent change, to eliminate the 'fur trade' that was happening throughout the game?

Were there other changes to item availabilities?

These are all changes. (I salvaged a hide last night and got four fur squares. )

The vendor in Fort Ranik was also selling Expert Salvage Kits...

When I saw that, I first thought that I had stumbled upon some little-known money-making wonder! Then I noticed that no one was spamming "FUR SQUARES KPLZTHNKS!!!!11one" anymore... and thought something must have changed.

But the really cool thing is I can now get the best ranger gear. With a bit more farming I'll be sitting very pretty indeed!
