I would like to get some superior runes for my character but i dont think i could take the health deduction. is there any runes that there is no deduction? if not, what are the best ways to boost your characters health? also, i was wondering how to increase my energy, i have grotto druids armor w/ the +5 energy and stuff, but is that the only way to increase?

thanks for the help

Minor runes have no penalty, and using vigor runes along with regular runes can cancel out the penalty.

The only other way to get more energy besides your armor is through a weapon/shield mod.

The only runes that dont give health deductions are the minor runes/ Sup vigor / Absorb (war only)

Do the following
Buy the 4 of the same piece and put 1 of each of the sup runes on them. This is the best way for you two switch out your armor and not get hit with 4 Sup runes -75 on you at once.

For a ranger with a bow the druids armor is the only increase. If you are not using a bow, as in trapping or something, you can use a staff or wand+artifact for more energy.

For health, a superior vigor will add the most. Note that runes of the same type don't stack so you only need 1 vigor. Other than that it is +health mods on weapons, shields and artifacts.

Yep - this is a good trick. I'd add that you should put them on your gloves or headgear, as they cost the least (materials wise, anyway) to craft.

Very good advice ... for example my ranger setup:

Vigor in the boots
3 other minor runes in the other pieces

And a set of 4 masks, each with the superior rune that corresponds to their +1 headgear type ... ie, the marks. mask is +4 marks (3+1), beast mastery mask +4BM (3+1) .... and so on.

Also, if you go this route (and don't mind looking a little goofy ) I color code them so i can open inventory and switch as needed (throwing on an expertise mask when you're burning energy like mad can be very helpful in pinch situations )
