Guild Capes
Inhuman
I've just arrived to Lion's Arch, and i've seen people wearing capes with background patterns that aren't even available at the cape-designer-man. How, where and when is this possible?
Furthermore > Is it possible to edit your cape design for.. perhaps a smaller amount of money? Is it even possible to redo your cape in ANY way? I'm not the guild leader, so how should i know?

There are alot of different ways to do your cape.... and your cape can be changed, just cost mucha money.
Inhuman
Ok thanks.. But i also asked if you, in a later part of the game, get access to different patterns?
Phantium
Oh come on, it's only 2 platinum coins to change your cape.
No you don't get access to different patterns later in the game.
You can redo your cape but it's the same amount of money.

I heard, that there is a way to unlock 2 more Emblems, so this isn`t true?
Saridley Kronah
Not true

You MUST be lying, because i have seen a few guilds with capes that really are unmakable at the standard Guild Emblemers. Actually; the Guild Emblemers in Lion's Arch and Ascalon City DO diverge, as i remember it. So if there are a third or fourth emblemer somewhere, perhaps that is where they have made it?
psygnosis
Maybe in the Underworld, hm? :/

you have to keep in mind that when people post a reply their reply is based on their experience and knowledge of the game. Calling people names is simply unnecessary.
Take care everyone.
Peace
Edit: BTW Phantium nice to know that I can re-do my Guild Cape if I want to. But if I do the other members will have to cough up the 2p cause I payed the full cost of the 1st one hehe.
Leventh
have never.. ever.. seen an unremakable cape.
Silvanos
Inhuman sorry to say there are no hidden designs or emblems and such. Maybe they look different is because due to a difference in colors it brings out a certain part of the design. Like my flame design with small golden dragon. Being so bright there is a clearly visible line straight up through the center. Im sure this will answer your question.

actually come to think of it, the guild design that i put on my guild capes, i've never seen ANYONE else using it... atleast not since the April BWE... I haven't checked to see if its available at the guild emblemers, but either it isn't anymore, or just no one likes it ^_^ but I could be wrong... I use that upward flame design, not the flames around the edges thing... thats used too much lol

Um can you make your own guild emblem and use it on the capes,or is that not possible at all?
The IOU
It's not possible...

Darn you would think that would be avialable in this type of game. O well thanks for the info.

Are you SURE you're just not using the cape design controls to their fullest?
On part of the interface there's two sets of side arrows: "< >" and "<< >>" and what I didn't realize was that each represented a separate cape function. At first I thought that maybe the "<< >>" meant scrolling to the top and bottom of the logo list rather an in increments like "< >" do, but it turned out that the "<< >>" actually controlled the secondary background color/design.
Hmm... I could be wrong about what the two sets of arrows actually do, but I just recall specifically that I didn't realize they were completely different.
There's literaly billions, if not trillions, of possible cape design combinations if you use the designer to its fullest extent. Sure some of the combinations are virtually undetectable (like a slightly darker shade of color) but it's still there.

I'm sure they'll have another logo design contest at some point in the future. When that comes up, make sure you submit your original designs.

It wasn't anything about colors, cape-shape og emblem (actually) .. The most segnificant was a background pattern with 2 stripes in the upper left corner of the cape. Not the to stripes diagonal crossing the middle, but the stripes were somewhat moved up in the left corner! Yeah; should've taken screenshot. But it was obivous, that this guild was aware, that their cape was awesome. They ran around in Lion's Arch, almost promothing themselves.
(and get the provoking ironi in the lying-thing, duh! Call you names? - don't think so!)

Ok, lets step back...
What about guild initials?
What was a name of a person with the cape?

I have seen some designs which are not available. Sorry no screenshot.
In the "<" ">" You can select the different additional designs such as the flame, the 4 square design stuff. Now there is this design, a big triangle, all 3 angles almost touching the edge of the cape. I have never seen this design before. But I assume it could be bugs. Because for certain designs, I see them as some weird little box with the design at the bottom right of cape and nothing else. Possible bug. I will need to check further.
