What? If your trying to say you can kill them in 2 hits im afraid you are gladly mistaken. Even so the point of getting run is it takes a lot less time then fghting through the mission.

I'm not complaining about the missions, because I have fought my way through them all multiple times, with guildmates and henchmen or just henchmen. I don't farm and I don't run. However, GW is supposed to be fun, and having to go ALL the way back to the start can make it pretty frustrating for new, inexperienced, and casual players. What would help would be to have one rez point not too far back from the end of the missions so you wouldn't have to start over from square one. That's what's a royal pain in the A-double-S, and a big waste of time.

How about you just don't lose? What's the fun in being able to have a safe spawn point in missions to save your butt every time?

Elona Reach for example. Who wants to rerun through a herd of easy-to-kill minataurs to get to the main part of the mission? You die, you could rez where the warrior opens the gate. If you're just dying to see the whole thing over again, start from scratch.

Sanctum Cay, maybe you could rez at the gate right after the bone dragon swamp

Well back to the point, no more free weekly Ascalon-Amnoon trips for newbies from me.
And I never said nerfed, I clearly stated in topic that they fixed it

I'm sure it's true that losing towards the end of a mission, just to start again, gets tedious However, missions are made so that you don't get a second chance. That's what makes them fun, in that sense. You have to plan ahead, and if you mess up, go back and learn what you did wrong, make adjustments, and try again. The respawn points would just make things too easy. If you don't like replaying specific portions of missions, then that should be further motivation to use adequate planning and better play during the more "difficult" areas.

Point noted. However, I'm not suggesting making the main part of the mission easier, just having the option to bypass the cake walk leading up to it -- or not. After all, one would be suffering from a death penalty at that point. Just a thought.

I was just ran yesterday..so it is possible. As for running, the way I see it is that the world is free to be explored and ran. I'm on my 3rd character and I just don't feel like doing every mission for the 3rd time.

If it is your first character, you are still free to play as you wish. It is your game.

What is the big deal, can't people do ANYTHING without running, scamming, or otherwise trying to defeat the point of PvE?

You can't say it is to get skills, because if you unlocked skills you can get them at ANY trainer.

You should've have put scamming and running in the same sentence, as it's something really different.
For your info, I've done all 3 desert missions with my lvl 8 ranger and henchman, and ascended at lvl 10, which got me to lvl 17 or 18, which is easy xp. There is no point to do all missions from the beginning since i already did it 3 times before.
And there there is that neat 15 attributes quest.
And no you can't get all skills at any trainer. Go try to learn capture signet in ascalon. I didn't try to check if all skills are there tho.

Really, there is no reason to even mention scamming in this thread.

good job , another runner spot closed, great, i hope they find a way to stop droks running too, im sick and tired of seeing lvl 5's running around with droks armor, i hope they fix book/gear trick too, its just too boring, it kills tactics, even a noob can go and farm sf/fow using book/gear trick, this isnt how it should be done, but thanks to these, and runners, some people dont even want to play the game all along, they just run to droks, then to sanctum cay, get some help and do the desert missions, and voila, lvl 20 ascended character, this isnt just right

Just to add from a point of view of someone yet to ascend.

I have done the vast majority of my current game alone with henchies, the only time I have not is for the over the wall mission and for the healing sig in pre.

I am stuck at elona and thirsty river missions. I have been told it is easy, by several people but none have them has been able to say what I should load up with on the way in and the majority are blind to the fact that I am with henchies and not a group! My character main is necro and I've managed to get up to level 20.

I don't have days and days to commit to the game and these missions are now getting to be a bind! I have even started the game again with new chars just to start enjoying the game again.

Yes it can be a real pain when you set yourself on a path i.e to complete the majority of the game without other players. I am getting frustrated with the game so I can see why some would choose to be run. Personally though I don't see the point in paying someone to take you through a mission when they also have the opportunity of some of the drops, but that is just me.

As for Sanctum Cay, I do vaguely remember it. I don't remember having problems with it though, I think it was a mission I get straight through first time?

Its kinda hard to stop that... the only way they could really do it is make multiple switches that need to be hit at the same time, but even then that wouldn't work for people playing with henchies. The other way they manage to stop mission running is put in NPCs that you must keep alive... but those are only in a few missions. You CANNOT run Ruins... I don't care what you say. Rurik will be retarded and decide to follow the runner to his death...

Actually, its probably about 50% of the missions that you can't run... Ruins, Nolani, Frost Gate, and some other ones I can't remember right now. The later missions would also be tough, but I suppose a majority of them are possible.

Running your first imo is wrong as you miss out on all the fun and irritation of plodding through missions not knowing what the hell you are doing!!

However when you get upto character number 4,5,6 etc etc doing all these missions again and again is a pain in the ass, out of the 6 chars I have only the last 2 were ran as to be honest i just couldn't be bothered, doing the same missions again and again..

If you disagree with running then just don't get run, continually loose runs and waste money on incrimental increases in AL per armor set..

The fact of the matter is its not been "shut down" this mission is still runable you just need to alter your build to have some tanking skills.Stop whining and live with it.

i never said i didnt agree with runs, i said no "MISSION" should be runnable.
its bad enough that you get to it and every gives grief to the guys that want to see the cutscenes... hey, maybe not everyones done it 6 times.
the only time anyone should be pressured to skip a cut scene is if you have a minion master in the group that has a large minion army
try to think of the rest of the group, not just yourselves sometimes peeps

@ numa..
i never expected there to be some fabulous endgame prezzie at the finish of the PvE part....
my beef is that anyone these days without a warrior SOMEWHERE in their characters class has a damn hard time getting anything at all done these days...

once, JUST ONCE i would like to see somewhere that warrior anythings are the ones getting whiped out every single time, and i want that mission to be VITAL to the progession of the game....

and then i want them to feel how the rest of us feel....
when we cant get thru a few of the missions that are Vital to the damn game.

add to that the fact that, although certain people seem to think otherwise...
Point of Accention (level 20) is NOT being accended....
which is what ANYONE that wants to use their chap 1 characters in chap 2 needs to have done....

and the fact that i havent been able to do it with ANY of my characters....
that only ONE has ever managed to get thru the cay mission, and is still trying to get past Elona.

i DO NOT want to get run....but every time some one at Anet *fixes* some litlle exploit or trick, or upps the difficulty in an area.....WE non warrior types suffer.
those that have not been thru these mission suffer.
and the game, that they stated, you can do if you want woth noting but henchmen....gets harder to do just that.

they should have said instead...

this game can be compleated by any Warrior class character and henchemn, but god help you if you try with any other class but warrior or monk...

Wow Rayea, I think you have the wrong idea about a great many things.

I have completed each mission with every one of the 6 professions with full pugs (and the ocassional hench healer). I've never done the Sanctum cay trick and just fought through it.

If you think it is so easy for a warrior to get a group, be sure to hang around the fire islands some day when you get there.

I don't know what to suggest to help you get through those missions except to say to keep trying, learn what works and what doesn't and then help the others on the team know what to expect. You are in a guild, can none of them help you?

When you go into one of those missions try advertising to join a guild group that needs some extra slots filled in. I don't personally like taking full henchies on missions, but that is just me, no matter how frustrating PUGS can be.

Maybe do a polite communication with the team before you launch, and make sure your spells compliment. Judging by your information you are a necro and shouldn't have very many problems getting into a group for any mission.

Warriors are just one of those staples that are good to have around, but things can definately be done without them, same can be said of any class, yes even monks. It may not be as easy but it is not impossible. It's a team game, work on making the team work.

cherno, hun, i AM my guild lol....
and frankly, no one wants me unless i pay, since i am a necro monk with only one elite skill.

i have tried everything i can think of..
i have even made an all squishies team of henches and tried doing it without warriors, and u know what i found....
it almost works ^^
i just get demoralised after getting an unlucky death a few times to many, and im not fast enough.

without stefan and thom, who just run off every time i hit a critter, and then end up in another groups agro field, i can slowly make headway....
now, if they aloed me to take 8 in a group, stead of 6..i might be able to even with the two meatshields

and im sure it is difficult to get into a last endgame mission for a warrior, since i have heard terrible stories of ones that ask questions like 'whats this adrenalin skill, how do i use it?' at the start of a mission lol.

i just get sick of the w/* players that say everything is easy....

Took my first character (beastmaster/smiter) through the game with just henchies, and sometimes, with some builds, it works out better to leave the tanks back at the outpost. Elona Reach took 20+ tries. That's where I gave up on the tanks. The next try without them was a winner. So I left them out of the mix at Thirsty River, and that worked out well also. Other missions worked better having them along. There are so many different combinations, you just have to experiment.
