Firstly; you should call your ISP and ask them if there are currently any problems with the network.
Secondly; if you know how, you should probably make an exception for TCP port 6112 in your firewall. This port has been known to cause issues such as lag, disconnections, characters moving around in an odd way, that sort of stuff.

It may not even be the connection, please post your complete systems specs here as we can determine an awful lot with that. I was getting freezing because I had my computer overclocked a bit much.

Ah! You need more RAM Memory put in your PC.
Check out www.ebuyer.com, buy about 512MB of RAM in my opinion, and you should be fine. But make sure you order the right RAM that's compatible with your PC.

im skint just now could i like take some crap off in my computer off???
Jahara Zeppelin
When your running GW, close EVERY program and un-needed processes.
e.g. File Sharing Programs, Messengers, Downloads, Webpages, just close everthing except Guild Wars.

Dark Splitter
i do but with taking programs off my computer help??
Jahara Zeppelin
Not really, having installed programs won't affect it if there not running.
Dark Splitter
so why is so much ram been taken up??
Jahara Zeppelin
Because you have very little RAM to start with as GW is a RAM hogger
Your only option (in my opinion) is to order some more RAM.

try more Ram, and a better video card maybe even a bigger processor. Then let us know what you find out

Same here. I have been playing for weeks and all was fine. but since this last update they did I am l;agging alot.
I have a amd 64bit 3500, 1 gig ddr 400 ram, 200gb, ASUS delux MB and an Nvidia 6600 pciex
Didnt have this problem before and sicne I have found over a dozen peole with the same issuse it is safe to say it isnt us. Either the servers cant simply handle the loads or the last update broke some code somewhere.

3 GHz proecessor with 256 mb ram? Man you computer will run slower than a 2 gig processor with 512 mb or ram. Yes ram is that important. More important than processor speed. Without it, it's like a genius who can't remember a thing.
brcave042503
More ram and a better Video card. also maybe a new mobo and prcesor...hell destory that one and go buy a new one
Jahara Zeppelin
Just get about 512MB more of RAM first and give it a shot in my opinion.
Dark Splitter
so all i gotta do is buy 256 mb and add that to the other 256 right?? but when i went to look about wht type it was it said just 256mb so can i choose any of them??
