I managed it in about 15 hours hardcore playtime (with max weapons, superior sword + major absorb to boot)

I ascended and did all of the missions up to droks in 20 hours on my monk. All pugs with no runs at all.

On my warrior, I got level 20, 15k, and infusion in 8 hours and change. I got a South Shiverpeaks tour for 10k by PrYd (some combination of capitals). <3 Great runners. One of their members got me to droks, got me to War Camp, picked up a partner, and did the rest. I was the only person in he party too. Great people.

Apparently you missed the "without" part, that would include no money from friends, etc. Even if you got free runs from Ascalon --> Droknar's you would still have to farm for the materials/gold for the armor.

But I believe the OP meant playing through all the missions/quests that lead to Droknar's - in which case I don't know. I only did that with my first char when GW was first released.
