From the best I can figure arena.net has left us no way of knowing how this works?! lol

The knights armor has this mod as well as the Minor/Major/Superior runes. See where I'm going with this?

I've seen on this website the 'Game Mechanics' Found Here Specifically this:

Hit Location Percentages Hit Location Chance to Hit
Arms 12.5%
Head 12.5%
Feet 12.5%
Legs 25.0%
Torso 37.5%

I won't ponder you with the question of what to make Gladiator's and what to make Knights. But I will ask you this: Does and is the *only* rune that stacks, absorbtion?

As far as I can figure they stack based on where your hit, unlike the rest of the runes. So it isn't really 'stacking' pursay.

Which leads too...what is Knight's in comparison to the rune?

*I did my best to browse and google (site:www.**.com **) for somewhat of an answer for these. Perhaps I missed it or alot of you have this same quesiton.

I did some testing with ascalon armor (same idea) and found that it is best to use just platemail if you want maximum damage reduction from elemental with a superior absorbtion rune. From my tests, I actually discovered that absorbtion runes only reduce damage from physical attacks, which surprised me because ascalon and knight's reduces damage from all attacks. Even though this is the case, you won't want to use knight's unless you plan to have gladiator armor as an extra 5 armor versus elemental is better than 2 damage off attacks. Indeed, if you plan to use gladiator, I would make the boots knight's for the extra damage reduction from all attacks. However, when "stacked" with absorbion runes, you do not get full effect from both, so it seems. For example, minor absorbtion reduces damage from phsyical by 2, ascalon armor reduces by 2, but when hit you don't take -4. It's more like -3 (roughly) and with magic attacks only -2 (because abs rune doesn't change this value at all).

And as I said, IMO the plate is better (if you don't need the energy) because 5 armor scales damage reduction with original damage. It reduces only 1.5 from an attack of 20, but 5 from an attack of 80 (just for example, numbers are not real).

Hope that helps.

Edit: forgot to say, knights does not stack with one another, you get ALL the benefit from any single peice anywhere on your body (useless to have a full set). Also, Superior absorbtion reduces physical damage by 4 I believe, as minor is 2.
