Question about drop rates..

Will doing mission over and over again nerf your drops? this became apparent that it wasn't just my terrible luck when I went to UW group and got absolutely nothing worth noting. When the bosses at the end started dropping greens, I got zip. Some people got multiple drops even, and they made saveral runs, It was my first.

ANyway, this psychologically affects people and predisposes them to farming to make up for the crap they got. Anet hates farming and they basically manufacture them w/ their nerfs and unfair loot distribution. How long are you suppose to lay off the game to have your drop rates go back to normal? its kinda frustrating going into a group/mission/quest and seeing all around you get golds/rare mats/dyes and the best you got was a blue item thats precious.

Sometimes I don't even wanna go w/ groups simply cause I know I'll get the short end of the stick, yeah its not about getting stuff but it does make the experience much more enjoyable for the rest of us. Even when you're frequently changing chars(have to do that to maintain proper inventory management) seem to mess w/ your drops, or maybe Anet just likes to **** w/ a certain # of people.

If you do a complete mission over and over, drops don't generally get worse. If you do only a PART of a mission / area, then they do tend to go down.

In Tombs (I assume that's what you man by UW, based on the green dropping bosses), I've very rarely seen any Gold drops - maybe 1 or 2 per PARTY on each run, not counting chests. Speaking of Chests, they're output is pretty random, too. I've seen where every chest is Gold, and I've seen where they're all purple. as for the Green drops, you're not the first to get squat, so don't feel too bad. I've got a friend who got there 7 or 8 times before he got his first green.

Ahhh, yeah, every chest I opened since I got back into the game after a 1-2mth lay off seem to be purple and not worth noting(shiver/elona etc...). As for the mission, I get killed by the mursaat, so Yeah I don't get to finish it. Anyway, guess luck isn't w/ me nowadays, early in game I thought lady luck was sucking me at night, now I guess she's chowing down on some other dude
