so i purchased myself a req 7 15% while enchanted flamberge and i was talking to these people about it

and they said that if u have 6 sword and a minor sword rune boosting it up to 7 that i won't hit the proper damage

they said you have to have a natural 7 in sword mastery in order for the weapon to work properly..

so my question is: if i use a minor rune of swordsmanship to boost my sword mastery to 7, will i still hit the 15-22 damage like the sword says i will?

They're wrong about the rune part, but you will only get a percentage of the 15-22 damage if you're not at 12 Swordsmanship.

Meeting requirement means it uses the listed damage rather than starter weapon damage. Then whatever damage it's using is multiplied by the effect of your level in your weapon mastery; at 7 Swordsmanship you're doing 64.8% of base damage, or 9.72-14.3 damage. You can achieve 7 Swordmanship either through base attributes or through runes, it doesn't matter.

Also: There is such thing as a req. 13 weapon. I suspect this guy thought the same thing happened with Helms, its the same principal. And if it was true there would be very little point in req. 13 items...

But ye, its wrong, as said twice above ^^
