55 monk -- weapon question
Agatsu
Im putting together everything I need for the 55 Monk build and have a question on the weapon.
Ive read quite a few build guides, many of which mention the use of the (now missing) HoD sword and (the still available poor replacement) the fiery flame spitter axe.
I understand that the benefit of the flame spitter is the 10% chance to half the time of spell recharge, and that I would want to put a mod on the axe to have enchantments last 20% longer.
Here's my question:
I happen to have a sword pommel mod that will give 20% longer enchantments, is there a sword somewhere that might also have the mod on it to recharge spells? Does this ever appear on say, a gold sword? Im just wondering if this is something I should be looking out for, in place of the fiery flame spitter?
Thanks for any info -

No, the Fiery Flame Spitter is the only one-handed Warrior weapon with a skill recharge bonus (barring any old weapons with weird mods). You're not going to find a sword with a skill recharge mod.

heh i just use a wand...it's a bit harder, but it also works... ( for my e/mo )
for my monk i use a summit axe of enchanting...nothing beneficial other than the enchanting part

the thing is...the HoD sword and FFS really arent that much better than a regular axe or sword with 20% enchants.
(wands dont come with 20% enchants, so youll obviouslly want to get a sword or axe.)
so basically, the FFS and HoD are better than regular 20% enchant intems...but not much.

Well look at the difference in pricing:
for a +5 energy bonus vs. a 10% Skill recharge, thats almost 350k.
The ideal weapon would really be a +5energy (while enchanted) +10% recharge.

i run a +5 energy while enchanted rod. any half-way decent monk dont need the extra enchant time

I sometimes use a 16% enchants axe but recently I've been using a Holy Rod req 8 Divine Favor max damage and Halves casting of divine favor skills 20% and halves recharge of protection skills 19%. pretty good but I have no enchanting mod. I don't have any trouble recasting enchantments because of the energy acquired from being attacked.
Edit: What's a Fiery Flame Spitter or w/e...?

I don't think its the best item a 55 monk could use, but I could see why someone would use it because you can't mod a rod. I still think there are other alternatives that I have yet to find...

I use:
FFS (first choice)
+5 enchanted rod with 10% fast cast
